Halt to Programme

Please find link below tothe latest message from the chair of GPC.

In respect of the item on additional funding for practices to improve the care for vulnerable adults I can confirm that I have already contacted your CCG in order to ask them to clarify the arrangements they will be putting in place in respect of the additional £5 per patient to be invested in general practice.

With regard to the funding redistribution for GMS practices, the LMC has been informed that only 3 practices in Birmingham fulfil the criteria of “ outliers” and these have already been proactively contacted by the LMC. However if your practice is currently in receipt of MPIG funding and you feel that it too is at risk from significant loss of resources without being one of Birmingham’s 3 outliers who will have already been written to by the Area Team and contactedby the LMC, then please do not hesitate to contact the LMC for advice.

Finally, all Birmingham PMS practices have already been emailed by the LMC in respect of the contract review process to commence in April, and once again I would ask all practices to share any correspondence they receive from the Area Team about this with the LMC.

The LMC has requested a meeting with the Area team and the 3 Birmingham CCGs in order to discuss the local approach to both the MPIG phase-out and the PMS contract reviews.
