QOF Aspiration Payments - Message To Practices

Please see the following messages from the Health and Social Care Information Centre about QOF aspiration payments:
Message for practices about aspiration payments v1
Message for practices whose QOF has been calculated v2

GP practices will receive one of these messages today, depending on whether they will receive the standard aspiration payment or an estimated aspiration payment.

Practices receiving the estimated aspiration payment will be those where it was not possible to automatically calculate the 2013/14 QOF achievement data. There are five possible scenarios for whether practices will receive a standard or estimated aspiration payment, see the FAQ below, from the following page: http://systems.hscic.gov.uk/cqrs/qof.

How will I know if I'm going to receive an estimated QOF 2014/15 aspiration payment? In total there are five possible scenarios:

1. Practices where automated data is available from GPES and the 17 indicators have been manually entered – they will receive the standard aspiration payment for QOF 2014/15.

2. Practices that have been advised to manually enter all QOF indicators and have manually entered this data – they will receive the standard aspiration payment for QOF 2014/15.

3. Practices where automated data is available from GPES but the 17 indicators have not been manually entered – they will receive the estimated aspiration payment for QOF 2014/15.

4. Practices who are not part of this week's year end extract, automated data is not available from GPES but they have manually entered 17 indicators – they will receive the estimated aspiration payment for QOF 2014/15.

5. Practices for which no data is available, from GPES or manual - they will receive the estimated aspiration payment for QOF 2014/15.
