Update 27th November 2014
As you are hopefully aware we recently held a meeting on the 3rd November with NHS Property Services (NHS PS) and Community Health Partnerships (CHP). All LMCs were invited across the Birmingham, Solihull and Black Country area. Please see below the communication that was agreed with the Birmingham and Solihull LMCs that will go out to their practices.
We are in the process of setting up another meeting in the Black Country for those LMCs unable to attend last time because we would like to circulate a similar communication to the Black Country practices. Dr Vitarana has kindly offered to set up the meeting but has recently advised that it is unlikely to happen until January. With this in mind the Area Team we would be grateful if you could circulate the communication below to practices within your area by mid December.
The Birmingham, Solihull and Black Country Area Team (AT), NHS Property Services (NHS PS) and Community Health Partnerships (CHP) recently met with the Birmingham and Solihull LMCs representatives to go through premises charges. The following key points were discussed and agreed:
As per the last communication the AT requested that NHS PS and CHP did not invoice practices for non– reimbursable costs until there was a clearer picture on charges.
Please note In 2013/14 some practices did not pay anything for non– reimbursable costs.
Update on 11th September 2014
I have been advised by Propco and CHP that revised invoices have been issued in the last few days with regards to Reimbursable charges.
Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country AT (AT) have arranged a reimbursement for this in September and we request that your practices please pay these invoices.
Non reimbursable charges
The AT has requested that Propco and CHP do not invoice the practices at this stage for Non reimbursable charges and they have confirmed no invoices have been raised. The AT will be sending a further communication about the Non reimbursable charges once we have a complete picture from Propco and CHP.
Update on 6th August 2014
We thought it would be useful to send a brief communication around the current difficulties GP practices are facing around premises charges, we are working closely with both NHS Property Services (Propco) and Community Health Partnerships (CHP LIFT buildings) to gain a better understanding of the 2014/15 Premises charges.
NHS Property Services
We have been informed by NHS Property Services that they will be cancelling all invoices issued this year and practices will be receiving a credit note in the next few days.
Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country AT will be meeting with NHS Property Services to agree a breakdown of charges. NHS Property Services will then separately invoice practices for reimbursable and non reimbursable premises costs based on the agreed revised charges.
Community Health Partnerships
Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country AT are liaising closely with Community Health Partnerships and will be meeting with them to review supporting information for the 2014/15 charges.
