Further to last week’s publication of GPC’s Quality First” document ( attached), GPC has now,as part of its workforce engagement work, implemented a "Quality first" resource webpage. This is aimed at LMCs, practices and individual GPs, as a single portal for the range of practical ways in which the profession can manage workload to deliver safe care, with “how to”, and real examples of good practice.
The first pages are now live on the new BMA website, which is also easily accessible via mobile devices:
This is by no means a finished product and the intention is to keep adding on and evolving as per feedback and new examples received from around the country. GPC has updated the original template pack and also converted it to Word. It has also sourced SystmOne and EMIS web templates ready to be exported into practice systems with ease, and is in the process of procuring Vision templates.
The idea is for this to become dynamic by having a noticeboard of LMC and practice views and ideas - it would be part of creating a sense of empowerment and resilience for GPs and practices at a local and national level.
Please have a look through the pages and forward on to whoever you feel would benefit.
GPC will be inviting GPs to share their experience via BMA Communities and you can also join the conversation on twitter via #GPworkload which is the hashtag GPC will be using to promote this work and engage GPs around the country.
