Managers Forum Group – Constitution

AIM OF THE GROUP

The aim of the Managers Forum Group would be to work together to undertake some of the rapidly progressive issues/problems that general practice is currently being faced with and endeavour to try to resolve these issues/problems by working as a group. 

The purpose would be to assist Managers, finding a way forward making their day to day work easier and less stressful by focussing on key objectives:

  • Providing decision making and keeping abreast of the current situation/updates/legislation/commissioning/CQC/NHSE requirements, supporting practices with advice and assistance in order to deal with CQC inspections/ratings, Quality issues, NHS England Contractual Compliance, CCGs implementation of new services/premises issues and any other areas of work related to supporting the business of general practice.
  • Support Managers and Practices by providing adequate training
  • Expectation to contribute to work outside of the group.

MONETARY MAYMENTS

Julie explained the payment process and asked all to complete forms for each attendance advising that payments would have to be paid to practices direct and not personal bank accounts.  Notifying all that these were honorarium payments and therefore no NI and Tax liability fell with the LMC.  Each member was also asked to complete a declaration of interest form. 

MEETING DATES

The group agreed to meet on Thursday between 1pm and 3pm on a 6 weekly basis at the LMC Offices, with no meeting being held during the August holiday period. 

INVITES

Invitation of personnel other than those managers elected.  It was agreed that before anyone was invited that it would be discussed with all.  It was also agreed that there was no need for people from the CCG to attend.

ATTENDANCE

It had been agreed that if there was a no show of 3 consecutive meetings that the member would be asked to leave.
