Further to information furnished on Monday 24th February 2020 and whilst any further national position on this is awaited I would remind practices that the types of consultations which it makes available for online booking are entirely a matter for practice determination. There is nothing preventing a practice from keeping its on-line bookable appointments ( this includes those directly bookable by NHS 111) entirely for telephone /digital consultation, as long as the practice continues to meet the reasonable needs of its patients. Practices should consider adapting their processes therefore to minimise the risk of potential Covid 19 patients inadvertently being booked into surgery appointments.
